If I HAD to get a tattoo - which I never would - well, maybe, now that you have me thinking about it, but probably not - it would be the following lines from my first and favorite poem, the namesake of this page:

for life’s not a paragraph / And death i think is no parenthesis

Or if I wanted to be a bit more cryptic and “in” with the cummings world, I’d just do

my blood approves

Or maybe I’d just go with

since feeling is first

and leave it at that.

 

As for young love? Nearly everything. I’d go to the actual eecummings page and search by keyword (“young”, “love”) and see what comes up!
